Tiger Rescue
Carolina Tiger Rescue is a nonprofit out of Pittsboro, North Carolina committed to creating a better world of big cats and wild animals.
Their primary function is rescuing big cats and other wild animals from captivity, and rehabilitating and housing them on their property. They have rescued animals from all over the country and outside of the US, including tigers from multiple properties featured on “Tiger King” on Netflix.
While CTR is one of the most important and established wild cat rescues, their current website does not reflect the professionalism and prestige of their organization.
The previous color palette was strong, but needed to be simplified for clarity of message and vibe. My moodboard provided inspiration for bold colors, sleek fonts, and detailed photography.
The colors and shapes in the branding model depict CTR’s “wild side” with bright oranges, while sticking to their natural ties with deep greens.
I also I redesigned their logo and logotype into a flexible model, in order to be applicable across all of their resources.
The process began with sketching low quality wireframes, before building out high quality wireframes in Figma. The final website was designed in Figma for desktop and mobile, and the logo lockup and icon were designed in Adobe Illustrator.
